Our Client
Our client operates four leading, textile accessory brands that are supplied to the rebranding, personalisation, and promotional industry. The brands are distributed through a network of distribution partners operating throughout Europe.
Their range of contemporary products include 500 styles across a range of headwear, bags and accessories. All are designed with the aim of easy rebranding, by trade re-processors, such as printers and embroiderers.
While they dedicate themselves to staying ahead of the curve when it comes to style and functional design, they also pride themselves on their sustainable ethos and responsible practices with a common purpose of upholding the highest ethical and environmental standards across the supply chain.
The Role
As copywriter your role will be to craft compelling, brand relevant, and data‑driven copy that elevates the four brands, inspires both wholesale and retail audiences and drives commercial growth across all channels.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Create compelling, brand‑aligned copy for all brands across a variety of outputs such as web pages, product descriptions, lookbooks, email campaigns, internal communications, packaging, and social media.
- Collaborate with the Product Development and Commercial teams to create persuasive marketing content tailored to diverse buyer personas.
- Craft engaging copy for seasonal campaigns, product launches, trade show materials and e‑commerce platforms.
- Translate technical product details into clear, commercially‑driven messaging that highlights quality, functionality, sustainability, and style.
- Ensure consistency in tone of voice across all channels per brand, maintaining brand integrity for both wholesale and retail audiences.
- Conduct market and competitor research to inform content strategy and identify trends relevant to headwear and bags.
- Edit and proof‑read content for accuracy, grammar, and effectiveness before publication.
- Assist with internal communications, brand storytelling, press releases, and LinkedIn posts when required.
- Utilise AI‑powered tools to generate, refine and translate copy into multiple languages, supporting international growth and localisation efforts.
- Review AI‑generated translations for tone, accuracy, and cultural relevance, ensuring quality control and alignment with brand standards.
- Optimise copy for search engines using relevant keywords and on-page SEO best practices, while enhancing the EEAT (Experience, Expertise, Authoritativeness, Trustworthiness) across all digital platforms through credible, value-driven content.
- Manage and maintain a content calendar, ensuring all deliverables are produced on time and in line with campaign deadlines.
- Partner with the Creative team to align copy and visual assets, creating cohesive multi‑channel narratives.
- Monitor content performance through analytics and refine copy based on data‑driven insights.
- Ensure all marketing communications comply with advertising regulations and brand guidelines across international markets.
- Develop key relationships with Head of Creative, Campaigns Lead and Digital Lead team members.
The Candidate
As copywriter you’ll be able to demonstrate:
Essential criteria
- Deep experience of commercial copywriting experience across digital and print channels.
- A degree in a relevant field (e.g., English, Marketing, Communications, Journalism), or equivalent professional experience in commercial copywriting.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating adaptable tone of voice and persuasive storytelling for brand marketing.
- Exceptional command of written English with meticulous attention to grammar and detail.
- Demonstrable knowledge of SEO principles and keyword research.
- Proficiency with content management systems and Microsoft 365
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
- Confident collaborator with excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
- Experience using AI language tools to enhance ideation and productivity.
It would also be great if you have any of the following although this is not essential.
- Experience within the fashion, accessories, or lifestyle sectors.
- Working knowledge of additional European languages for localisation projects.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud basics (InDesign, Photoshop) to support design collaboration.
- Understanding of sustainable materials and eco‑messaging within product marketing.
- Professional qualification in copywriting, marketing, or CIM/IDM accreditation.
- Experience with analytics platforms (Google Analytics, email performance) and A/B testing.
Terms
- This role is offered on a permanent, part-time basis.
- The role is seeking 22 hours per week in a pattern to be agreed with the successful candidate.
- The role is hybrid with the majority of time from home with 1 day per week in the office in Bury, Lancashire).
- A salary of up to £40k fte* is on offered (depending on experience)
