Our Client
Our client is a leading organisation in the legal sector, known for its high-profile work, collaborative culture and forward-thinking approach. With a strong reputation, an experienced team and a refreshed brand, they’re entering their next phase of strategic growth – and marketing will be at the heart of it.
Following a successful rebrand and anniversary year of high-profile events and awards, they are now looking for a Head of Marketing to take ownership of their marketing and business development strategy.
The Role
Reporting into the Business Development Committee and working closely with an experienced Marketing Manager, this is a strategic and hands-on role where you'll shape, lead and deliver the full marketing function.
Key responsibilities include:
Strategic Planning
- Develop and deliver an annual marketing and business development plan aligned to the organisation’s strategic goals
- Work closely with the Business Development Committee to grow the business’s reputation across its specialist practice areas, particularly with police forces, government, and legal professionals
- Monitor marketing activity effectiveness, using feedback and data to evaluate success and refine future strategies
Brand and Communications
- Maintain and develop the organisation’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all platforms and materials
- Manage the design, content and ongoing development of the website, social media presence, and digital marketing activity
- Create and manage news stories, newsletters, thought-leadership content and other written materials to promote individual and collective achievements
- Lead the submissions and profile for the major legal directories
Client Development
- Identify and support opportunities for relationship-building with key audiences
- Plan and deliver client-facing events, seminars, webinars and training sessions, working alongside the Marketing Manager
- Collect and analyse client feedback, feeding insight back into the business to improve service and deepen relationships
Member and Team Support
- Support individual professionals within the business on new business activities and maintain their public-facing profiles
- Provide advice and guidance on networking, events and profile-raising opportunities
- Report regularly to key stakeholders and ensure alignment across teams

The Candidate
We’re looking for a confident, collaborative and commercially aware marketing leader who is equally comfortable setting direction and rolling up their sleeves.
You’ll bring:
- Significant experience in a senior marketing or business development role, ideally in professional services
- Excellent communication skills – written, verbal and interpersonal
- Strong brand, content and digital marketing know-how
- Experience in planning and promoting events and client campaigns
- Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and working across teams
- Experience in the legal sector or a similar environment is desirable but not essential
- A CIM (or similar) qualification is welcomed (not essential)
Terms
- The role is offered on a permanent, part-time basis.
- 15 hours per week, ideally spread across 3–4 days, one of which must be a Monday
- Hybrid working – with one day per week in the Central London office (Tues, Wed or Thurs)
- £100K FTE* pro rata for hours worked
