Senior Accountant in practice (Business Services Manager), Swindon, salary dependent on experience, part or full-time (min 3 days or equivalent). (Job ref. TA2503)

This company is one of the largest independent chartered accountancy groups in the West of England. They fully support flexible working, with many of their employees working in flexible patterns across the week. They welcome applications from people who are returning to work after a break from accountancy practice, and those from industry who can demonstrate an ability to juggle multiple clients and work within a ‘time-recording’ environment. 

Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Management of a portfolio of clients, sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
Completing more complex accounts work for clients as required by the Client Portfolio Manager.
Visiting clients to discuss their requirements, providing the most appropriate advice and support as required.
Reviewing work, meeting with and giving full support to employees who work on your client’s work.
Ensuring that all budgets and timescales are met by employees and that they consistently provide an acceptable level of service.
Undertaking ad-hoc project work as required.
Responsible for personal and team chargeable time budget.
Being proactive in identifying opportunities for the provision of additional services.

Minimum Candidate Requirements
Qualified ACA/ACCA or QBE
5 years’ practice experience ideally.
Wide range of general practice experience for owner managed businesses including personal tax.
Interpersonal skills to gain credibility internally and with clients.
Excellent prioritisation and time management skills.
Mobility across the practice offices and client sites.

This is a permanent position, either part time or full time, hours and days negotiable.  Minimum 3 days across the week.
