The Role
To work closely with the MD, ensuring that the financial day to day activities of the business run smoothly and support the aims of the business. Duties include:-
• Preparation of monthly management Information
• Management of cashflow
• Management of the accounts department, ensuring adequate controls in place
• Ensuring that the regulatory requirements of all statutory bodies are met
• Cost control
• Credit risk management
• Foreign currency management
• Payroll preparation and submission
• Supplier payments in GBP/EUR/USD
• Capital expenditure and fixed asset register
• Year-end procedures in respect of statutory accounts preparation in partnership with external accountants
• Archiving and document retention in line with statutory regulation
• Annual Insurances and risk management
• Implementation of measures to mitigate fraud
The Candidate
Our client is hoping to secure a candidate with experience working in a similar role, or the skills and experience to step up in to a finance manager position. You will be comfortable with all the tasks listed and with working in a stand alone setting or small team (in this role there is one direct report). Our client is a small business with global connections, so you will be able to work across multiple currencies and be happy to role your sleeves up and get involved where and when required.
Terms
Based in Chesham, our friendly, family owned client offers a flexible working environment. The position can be worked on a part time basis of no less than 30 hours across 4 or 5 days, up to full time. The role is office based, in easily accessible town centre location and parking is available.
Salary will be discussed upon application, however there is flexibility depending on the skills and experience of the candidate.
