Job Description

We're looking for an enthusiastic B2B marketing professional to join this small and dynamic events business. You will be adept at producing content, great at fostering relationships with clients and be proficient in using social media for business purposes.  

The Company 

Our client is a small team of specialist event organisers, who organise training courses, conferences and webinars for a global niche B2B audience. They team enjoy working together to create professional events with care and attention to detail whilst maintaining a sense of fun within a family like environment.

The Role

They are seeking an experienced Marketing Coordinator to join the team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in driving business growth by leveraging social media platforms, with a particular focus on LinkedIn and Sales Navigator. Collaborating closely with the event specialists, the ideal candidate will be adept at producing compelling content to promote the events, fostering relationships with existing clients, and developing strategies to convert leads into new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and implement social media plans to make the brand more visible and engaging, focusing mainly on LinkedIn and Sales Navigator.
  • Work with event experts to make interesting content, such as posts, articles, and multimedia, to advertise upcoming training sessions, conferences, and webinars.
  • Make friends with current clients and people in the industry by reaching out and networking
  • Find new business chances by growing the network of potential clients, partners, and friends through LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, and X.
  • Look at social media numbers and other analytics to see if the marketing plans are working well and make them better.
  • Keep an eye on industry trends and new tech to make marketing content better and stay ahead.

Personal Specification

  • Proven experience in marketing, or related roles, preferably within the events industry or a similar B2B environment (scientific / technical preferred although not essential).
  • Demonstrated proficiency in utilizing social media platforms for business purposes, particularly LinkedIn and Sales Navigator.
  • Competent in general Office 365 programmes eg Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook
  • Experience of using creativity tools such as Canva, Photoshop or similar would also be an advantage although not essential.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to craft compelling content and engage with diverse audiences effectively.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and a natural aptitude for building and maintaining professional relationships.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Terms
  • 22.5 hours a week or 3 full days (flexible which days and times)
  • Salary up to £36,500 FTE* (pro-rated down for part-time hours)
  • 8% company contribution into company scheme.
  • 25 paid holidays plus Bank Holidays (pro rata for part-time)
  • Discretionary annual bonus based on company performance
  • Based in the office in Crowborough, East Sussex
