The Role
We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Receptionist/Administrator to be the first point of contact for all visitors to the school, along with answering incoming calls and re-directing and general administrative support. You will be joining a well-respected and lively Support Team.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Greet visitors to the school and respond to queries appropriately.
- Answer telephone calls and pass on messages to staff either verbally or via email.
- Deal with general email enquiries and follow up if necessary.
- File student documents electronically
- Undertake any training in the school communication and IT systems
- Update the system with pupil attendance updates working with the Attendance Officer.
- Assist in internal event co-ordination to ensure smooth running of internal events, liaising with SLT, site team and stakeholders.
- Produce Certificates as and when required.
- Assist on Trip Administration in conjunction with School Trip Co-Ordinator
- Undertake ad-hoc projects and duties as required by the Office Manager.
The Person
Essential
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required - ability to compose letters accurately
- Proven solid experience of administration.
- Be a confident user of Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and use of Mail Merges.
- Typing Speed 30wpm.
- Ability to work on own initiative and make decisions as well as a member of a collaborative team.
- Good organisation skills, ability to multi-task, prioritise effectively and work to tight deadlines
- Discretion, sensitivity and diplomacy.
Desirable
- Previous experience working in a school environment within administration, or in a working environment as a Personal Assistant.
- Ability to relate to all personnel and children within the school environment.
- Knowledge and experience of whole school procedures, organisation and structure.
- Knowledge of BromCom,

Terms
- Location: Sevenoaks
- Permanent, Term Time only plus inset days (39 weeks per year)
- 37 hours per week, Hours: 8.15am to 4.30pm
- FTE* Salary £23,338-£23,921, actual salary £20,252.72 - £20,758.64 (actual salary based on working term time only). Salary dependent on experience.
