Job Description

Are you a confident Credit Controller with legal experience looking for a flexible role in a professional and friendly team? This six-month contract offers a brilliant opportunity to make a real impact by helping to improve cash flow and build strong client relationships.

Their offices are based in the City of London, but they offer remote or hybrid working depending on your location and preferences.

The Role

The Credit Controller plays a key role in the finance support team, working closely with the Director of Finance and the Senior Credit Controller. You’ll focus on proactively building client relationships to help reduce outstanding balances and support efficient cash flow.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Debt Management – Proactively monitor and chase outstanding client balances
  • Client Liaison – Build and maintain strong working relationships to ensure payment deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with the Senior Revenue Controller, fee earners and support staff
  • Handle and resolve billing queries in a professional and timely manner

The Candidate

As Credit Controller, you’ll be proactive, professional and persistent. You’ll bring a collaborative approach and a drive to get results, along with:

  • Proven experience in credit control within a legal environment
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage at all levels
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in financial systems and software
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • A results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills

Terms

  • This is a part-time, fixed-term contract for 6 months
  • The role is seeking a minimum of 4 days per week (with flexibility on how hours are spread), up to full time.
  • Salary c. £35k fte*, negotiable depending on experience (£28k salary for 4 days).
  • Remote or hybrid working is available following initial training at the London office (EC3).
