The Role
As FC you’ll own the company’s financial operations and support the CFO in driving financial performance.
This role is key to ensuring accurate financial reporting, efficient financial processes, and robust planning to support decision-making across the business. Key responsibilities include:
- Oversee day-to-day financial operations, ensuring strong financial control and compliance.
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts and board packs, including KPIs.
- Lead statutory reporting, audit, tax filings, and liaison with external advisors.
- Develop and manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash-flow modelling processes.
- Assist the CFO in preparing materials for investors, lenders, and potential acquirers.
- Manage and mentor a small finance team of three (Finance Manager, FP&A Manager, Office Manager).
About You ...
You’ll thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and bring technical finance expertise and a commercial eye. You’ll be able to demonstrate:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) with progressive post-qualification experience.
- Proven track record in financial control, reporting and operational finance.
- Experience leading a small finance team.
- A strong knowledge of Xero (or similar) and Excel.
- Ability to analyse business performance and write clear, concise commentary.
- Commercially minded, detail-oriented, and analytically strong.
- Tech savvy; proficient with financial and other key systems and apps.
Terms
- This role is offering a competitive salary of £75-£95k depending on experience, plus share options.
- The role is offered on a full-time, perm basis (37.5 hrs/wk). There is potential for reduced hours (30/wk) if desired.
- Flexible, hybrid working, seeking just 2 days/wk in the Milton Keynes office with free parking.
