Our Client
Our client is a growing specialist design and build business with offices in London.
The Role
Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the smooth running of the purchase ledger function within a busy construction environment. The role is hands-on and requires someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently.
Key responsibilities
• Processing supplier invoices using Dext and posting into QuickBooks Online
• Coding invoices to cost centers, projects, and nominal accounts (including Procore where applicable)
• Supporting supplier onboarding, including Companies House, VAT, bank detail, and credit (D&B) checks
• Performing CIS checks and maintaining compliance records
• Managing and following up invoice approval workflows
• Highlighting Proforma / Urgent invoices for immediate payment
• Handling supplier queries and resolving discrepancies
• Reconciling supplier statements
• Processing employee expenses
• Maintaining accurate supplier records and supporting internal controls
• Assisting with general finance administration
About you
• Experience in Accounts Payable, Purchase Ledger, or Finance Administration OR a graduate/apprentice with strong attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently in a remote or hybrid environment
• Highly organised with strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Friendly, approachable, and confident communicator
• Able to manage workload and prioritise effectively
• Experience in construction and/or CIS is helpful but not essential
• Experience with QuickBooks Online, Dext, or Procore is desirable
The Terms
• Part-time: 4–5 mornings per week, 4 hours per day.
• Primarily remote with occasional London (Tottenham Court Road) office visits (travel costs reimbursed)
• Up to £45K FTE, depending on skills and experience
