Our client is a small and growing financial planning firm based in Hemel Hempstead.
The Role
Our client is looking for a part-time Administrative Assistant to support our growing financial planning business. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who enjoys keeping things running smoothly behind the scenes, takes pride in being highly organised, and wants to work with a supportive team in a modern, forward-thinking firm.
This is a varied role supporting the day-to-day operations of the business, including client administration, provider and client communication, and preparation for financial planning reviews.
Your responsibilities will include:
Business & Client Administration
• Maintaining internal systems and keeping client records up to date
• Supporting client onboarding and ongoing servicing
• Producing and sending client documentation (accurately and on time)
• Managing workflow tasks and ensuring deadlines are met
Provider & Product Support
• Liaising with product providers, lenders, and insurers to progress business
• Chasing outstanding information and supporting applications through to completion
• Coordinating basic research and gathering product information as required
Annual Review Preparation
• Preparing annual review packs and documentation
• Ensuring all required information is ready ahead of client meetings
• Supporting follow-up actions after review meetings
Marketing Support (Basic Admin)
• Light admin support for marketing activity (e.g. organising content, updating records, supporting campaigns)
The Candidate
We’re looking for someone who is positive, professional, and naturally organised. Someone who enjoys bringing structure to a busy environment.
You’ll be:
• Proactive and reliable, with strong attention to detail
• Confident communicating with clients and suppliers in a professional manner
• Comfortable working independently, while also being a team player
• Calm under pressure and good at juggling multiple tasks
Experience
Ideally you’ll have experience in a similar role within:
• Financial planning / IFA
• Banking
• Mortgages
• Investments / pensions
• Protection / insurance
You don’t need to be a financial expert — but you should be familiar with the principles of financial planning and comfortable working with regulated processes and confidential information.
The Terms
This role is being offered on a part time basis, requiring 20 hours a week, ideally over 4 days. You will spend half your time in the Hemel office.
The position has a range of £30-£35K FTE* available depending on the skills and experience bought to the role.
