We’re working with a fast-growing, innovative technology business looking for a detail-focused Accounts Assistant to support their finance team in a flexible, part-time role.
This is a fully remote position (with optional office use) offering great variety across both accounts payable and receivable, and the chance to be part of a collaborative and ambitious team.

The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-focused Accounts Assistant to join a supportive and forward-thinking finance team in a part-time, fully remote role.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in keeping day-to-day finance operations running smoothly, with exposure across both accounts payable and receivable. It’s a varied role where accuracy, organisation and a proactive mindset will really shine.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable
- Generating invoices in Xero using monthly client data
- Sending invoices and supporting reports to clients
- Reconciling payments against invoices
- Producing statements and following up on overdue payments
- Handling queries and resolving any payment issues
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records
Accounts Payable
- Downloading and processing supplier invoices
- Accurately inputting purchase invoices with correct VAT treatment
- Reconciling transactions across bank accounts and credit cards
- Managing staff expenses
- Building positive relationships with suppliers
Additional Support
- Assisting with finance queries and reconciliations
- Reviewing postings and supporting month-end processes
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes and efficiency
About You
You’ll be someone who enjoys working with numbers and takes real pride in getting the detail right. Alongside this, you’ll bring:
- Previous experience in a similar accounts or finance support role
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Confidence working with systems such as Xero (or similar)
- A proactive, can-do attitude and willingness to get stuck in
- Strong communication skills, comfortable liaising with a range of stakeholders
- A patient and professional approach when dealing with queries or chasing payments
- A collaborative mindset and desire to be part of a growing business
What’s on Offer
- £30,000–£35,000 FTE (pro rata)
- 2 days per week (or equivalent), fully remote (with office access available if preferred)
- Hours increasing to 3 or 4 days in the future
