The Role
This newly created opportunity would suit someone with strong bookkeeping or transactional finance experience who is looking to broaden their accounting knowledge and develop further. The business is happy to provide training and support in areas such as accruals and prepayments for the right individual.
Responsibilities will include:
- Accounts payable
- Accounts receivable
- Credit control
- Bank reconciliations
- Balance sheet reconciliations
- Assisting with accruals and prepayments
- Supporting wider finance activities as required
- Helping out across the business when needed as part of a collaborative team environment
The Candidate
We are looking for a proactive and adaptable finance professional who enjoys working as part of a small team and isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves when required.
You will ideally have:
- Solid bookkeeping or finance experience
- Experience across purchase ledger, sales ledger and reconciliations
- Good attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Intermediate Excel skills, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs
- Experience using Xero would be advantageous
- A flexible, team-focused approach and willingness to support colleagues outside your immediate remit when needed
What’s on offer
- FTE salary of £40,000 (actual salary £16k based on 16 hrs)
- 16–18 hours per week, Monday-Thursday.Tues and Thurs are key working days.
- Hybrid working – remote and Watford
- 25 days holiday (pro rata), increasing by one day per year of service up to a maximum of 30 days
