The organisation is looking for an experienced HRBP to provide trusted, commercially-minded HR support across designated areas of the business. You’ll work closely with senior leaders and managers, helping them navigate people challenges while ensuring HR activity supports wider business objectives.
This is a genuine HR Business Partner role, combining strategic thinking with hands-on delivery. It would suit someone who enjoys being close to the business, building strong relationships and making a tangible difference.
The Role
Working as part of an established HR team, you’ll partner with senior stakeholders and managers to understand their priorities and translate them into effective people solutions.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing strategic HR Business Partnering support across designated areas of the organisation
- Advising senior leaders and managers on organisational effectiveness, workforce planning and succession planning
- Supporting organisational change, transformation and restructuring initiatives
- Leading complex employee relations cases and ensuring consistent application of HR policies and UK employment legislation
- Coaching managers on employee relations and people-related issues
- Supporting employee engagement activity, including surveys, pulse checks and action planning
- Using HR data, reporting and insight to identify trends and support better decision-making
- Developing and improving HR dashboards, reports and metrics
- Encouraging effective manager self-service through HR systems, tools and guidance
- Supporting HR policy development and strategic HR projects
- Supporting recruitment for key roles, audits, reporting and compliance activity
- Deputising for Senior HR Business Partners when required
You’ll also have the opportunity to influence HR processes and contribute to workforce planning and organisational design.
About You
We’re looking for an experienced HR Business Partner who is confident operating at both a strategic and operational level.
You’ll need:
- Solid HR Business Partner experience
- Strong knowledge of UK employment law
- Experience handling complex employee relations matters
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
- Experience using HR data and reporting to generate meaningful, actionable insight
- The ability to build credibility with senior leaders and managers
- Experience working with HR systems and HRIS
- Good working knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Experience within a manufacturing, engineering or another complex operational environment would be advantageous, as would experience of organisational design, change initiatives, HR analytics/dashboard development and coaching managers.
A degree-level qualification or equivalent and CIPD membership are required.
The Flexibility
The role requires 23.25 hours per week, worked over either 3 or 4 days, depending on your preference and what works best for the business.
Fridays are not required, giving you the potential for a particularly useful four-day working week with a long weekend.
This is an office-based role, so you’ll need to be comfortable working onsite and able to drive. There is plenty of free onsite parking.
