Job Description

Are you looking for a flexible role that is supported by a collaborative team? Can you offer a well-rounded HR profile with the ability to advise and support employees independently?

This is a great opportunity to use your expertise and experience in a flexible, hybrid contract role.

Our Client

Our client shapes regulation across the world; working with multiple agencies to deliver fresh and creative work through economics and finance.

The Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and proactive Part-Time HR Manager or Officer to join their team. This role provides key support to the Senior HR Manager, with a focus on employee relations across Europe and the effective oversight (point of escalation) for payroll processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior HR Manager on employee relations (ER) matters across multiple European jurisdictions, from routine queries through to more complex cases
  • Line managing two payroll administrators (job share), providing day-to-day support, direction, and quality oversight
  • Assist with the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures
  • Act as a trusted, knowledgeable point of contact for employees and managers with HR queries

About You

This is a high-impact, varied role at an exciting moment for the team. They are looking for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, who can build credibility and develop relationships quickly, and brings a willingness to get things done. In return, they offer a genuinely collaborative team spirit, where every day flexibility is supported, but high standards and the willingness to go the extra mile is asked in return.

You’ll have proven hands-on experience in a broad HR generalist or HR management role with a strong employee relations background and the confidence to advise and manage cases independently.

  • An understanding of European employment considerations
  • An understanding of payroll, ideally across multiple countries
  • Strong organisational skills with a capability to juggle multiple priorities and to work independently
  • Comfort with change, ambiguity, and being part a function that is actively evolving
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and motivation to build relationships
  • Experience managing or mentoring others within an HR or payroll function
  • Strong verbal and written English language skills, additional European languages a benefit

What’s on Offer

  • This is a 12 month maternity cover contract
  • A salary of up to £70K FTE is available, along with a 10% completion bonus
  • A Hybrid working model with time split between remote and one of their offices in Oxford or London (Tuesdays in office ideally)
  • Part-time 22.5 hours (there is flexibility as to how these are done over the week)

Start date: ASAP. No later than October 2026

If you're looking to play a key role in a collaborative team in a dynamic environment, we’d love to hear from you.

Apply today and discover how your experience could make a lasting difference.
