Our client is a small, established charity with an ambitious outlook, looking for an experienced Individual Giving Manager to take its fundraising activity to the next level.
And when we say flexible, we really mean it. You'll have considerable freedom to choose your hours and how you work them, with just two short office visits each week.

The Role
This is an opportunity to take ownership of an established Individual Giving programme, bringing fresh ideas, specialist expertise and a strategic approach to growing sustainable income.
Working closely with the CEO and a small, supportive team, you'll have the freedom to shape the programme, develop supporter relationships and identify opportunities to maximise the value of an established donor base.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing and delivering an effective Individual Giving strategy, focusing on donor acquisition, retention and increased giving.
- Planning and managing multi-channel fundraising campaigns, including regular giving, cash appeals, telephone upgrades and donor reactivation.
- Creating engaging supporter journeys that build long-term relationships, encourage repeat donations and improve donor retention.
- Managing and optimising face-to-face fundraising campaigns, working closely with external agencies to deliver strong results and an excellent supporter experience.
- Using donor data, segmentation and campaign insights to identify opportunities, test new approaches and improve performance.
- Overseeing campaign budgets, forecasting, reporting and performance against KPIs.
- Exploring opportunities to develop legacy giving and new fundraising initiatives.
You'll have the opportunity to build on the charity's existing achievements while introducing your own ideas and expertise to help shape its future.
The Candidate
We're looking for an experienced Individual Giving professional who knows their subject and is excited by the opportunity to make a tangible difference in a smaller organisation.
You might currently be working in a senior fundraising role and looking for greater flexibility, or perhaps you've worked for a larger charity and would relish the opportunity to take ownership of an entire Individual Giving programme.
You'll bring:
- Proven experience in Individual Giving, with a strong track record of developing successful fundraising campaigns and growing income.
- Experience managing face-to-face fundraising programmes and working with external agencies.
- Expertise in regular giving, donor acquisition, retention, stewardship and multi-channel fundraising.
- Confidence using donor data and CRM systems to inform strategy, segment audiences and improve campaign performance.
- Experience managing campaign budgets, measuring ROI and reporting on performance.
- A good understanding of fundraising regulations, GDPR and relevant best practice.
- A proactive, creative and strategic approach, with the confidence to introduce new ideas and identify opportunities for growth.
Just as importantly, you'll be positive, adaptable and happy working as part of a small team. You'll enjoy rolling up your sleeves when needed, collaborating with colleagues and finding practical solutions.
You'll be comfortable working independently, taking ownership of your area of expertise and contributing to the wider success of the charity.
The Terms
Flexibility that genuinely works around you
This charity understands that experienced professionals can deliver exceptional results without working traditional hours. They're happy to shape the role around the right person.
- Salary: Up to £45,000 FTE*, Pro rata, based on a 35-hour working week.
- Hours: 15–25 per week.
- Choose the number of hours that works for you and how they're spread across the week. There's even scope to reduce your hours during school holidays.
- Location: Farnborough & Remote.Office attendance on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for a minimum of four hours each day. The remainder of your hours can be worked remotely and arranged around your other commitments.
- Benefits: 25 days' annual leave plus bank holidays (pro rata), and a 5% employer pension contribution.
