Job Description

Do you have experience of working in a finance support role?  We're looking for an experienced finance assistant who is keen to develop their career and has a positive and pro-active approach. This is a lovely hybrid role in a growing consulting and resource solutions business.

Our Client
Our client works with company executives and leadership teams, typically for large corporations, to shape and deliver their transformation agendas, through a blend of business consulting and people solutions. They are a small business that punch well above their weight, supporting companies going through change around the globe.

Working within a supportive and friendly environment, they believe in the importance and power of being outdoors. The team undertake a variety of quarterly events, whereby they leave the tech at home and focus on team building and spending quality time outside the office. Such events have taken place in the Lake District, Scotland and London, and have included rock climbing, mountaineering and crazy golf.

The Role
Reporting to the Bookkeeper, this role provides the day to day transactional support. Core responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining sales and purchase ledgers.
- Bank reconciliations – UK, US, Euro and Polish.
- Managing client invoices and payments.
- Liaising with clients, suppliers and banking contacts.
- Assist with the production of quarterly VAT returns.
- Assisting with the production of monthly management reports.
- Supporting the Bookkeeper with year-end information and end of year management reporting & forecasting.
- Deputising for the Bookkeeper as required. 
 
The Person
- Previous experience in a similar role - ideally you will be min. AAT qualified. 
- Experience of using a cloud based accounts software (such as Sage Online or similar) and keen to learn new tech associated with consulting businesses.
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel or other spreadsheets.
- Possess first-rate numerical skills.
- Solid organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, including relationship building with individuals across the business.
- Highly computer literate.
- Experience of working with foreign currencies and payroll processing is desirable, but not essential.
 
Terms
Full-time. The role may be worked mostly from home with some presence in the London office (minimum fortnightly on Monday). Initially, the successful candidate will be required to work in the office once a week (Monday) until established in the role. 
Salary: c£32k (dependent on experience).
Holiday allowance: Unlimited holiday allowance
Pension: Company contributions on completion of probation
Other benefits: Bonus based on personal delivery and company results.
