The Role
The Credit Controller plays a key role in the finance support team, working closely with the Director of Finance and a full-time Credit Controller. You’ll focus on proactively building client relationships to help reduce outstanding balances and support efficient cash flow.
Key responsibilities include:
- Debt Management – Proactively monitor and chase outstanding client balances
- Client Liaison – Build and maintain strong working relationships to ensure payment deadlines are met
- Collaborate with the Senior Revenue Controller, fee earners and support staff
- Handle and resolve billing queries in a professional and timely manner
The Candidate
As Credit Controller, you’ll be proactive, professional and persistent. You’ll bring a collaborative approach and a drive to get results, along with:
- Proven experience in credit control, ideally within a professional services or legal environment
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills with the ability to engage at all levels
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Proficiency in financial systems and software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- A results-oriented mindset with strong problem-solving skills
Terms
- This is a part-time, fixed-term contract for 6 months
- Minimum 3 days per week, with flexibility on how hours are spread (e.g. 5 shorter days or increased hours if preferred)
- Salary up to £50k fte*, depending on experience
- Remote or hybrid working is available following initial training at the London office (EC3)
