The Role
You will lead and support all aspects of HR across the employee lifecycle and act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and line managers. Responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing HR strategies aligned with business objectives
- Leading on organisational design, change management and performance improvement
- Coaching managers to increase capability and confidence in handling people matters
- Managing end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and talent processes
- Maintaining HR policies and ensuring compliance with employment law and best practice
- Championing inclusion, employee engagement and staff wellbeing
- Designing and delivering learning and development initiatives
- Overseeing payroll and budget management for HR
- Line managing the HR & Office Manager
You will be part of the Senior Management Team and play a key role in supporting the organisation’s continued development.
About You
We’re looking for a proactive, collaborative HR professional who is confident working both strategically and operationally. You’ll bring:
- Experience in a senior HR generalist or business partner role, ideally within a mid-sized organisation
- A CIPD Level 5 (or equivalent) qualification
- Strong experience of coaching managers, leading change, and managing performance
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- A commercial mindset with a hands-on, problem-solving approach
- A working knowledge of HR systems and tools (SafeHR, SharePoint, MS Office, etc.)
- A values-led approach and commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion
Experience in the membership or not-for-profit sector is desirable but not essential.
