Job Description

Love bringing people together and creating events that genuinely drive business results?

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced B2B Events Manager who enjoys owning the full event lifecycle — from concept and planning through to delivery, measurement and continuous improvement.

Our Client

Our client is an award-winning, fast-growing cyber security business based in Cardiff with an international reach. They are ambitious, values-led and focused on growing their organisation while maintaining a strong, collaborative culture.

Operating in a complex and rapidly evolving sector, they pride themselves on making cyber security accessible, understandable and commercially relevant for their clients and partners.

The Role

As Events Manager, you will take ownership of the company’s in-person and online event programme — from webinars and micro-conferences through to exhibitions and industry conferences.

This is a hands-on role where you’ll manage every stage of the event lifecycle. From sourcing suppliers and managing budgets through to event promotion, delivery and post-event analysis, you’ll ensure every event runs smoothly and delivers measurable results.

You’ll also work closely with internal teams and external partners to ensure events align with wider marketing and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Event Planning & Budget Management

  • Build detailed budgets for each event, including travel, materials, marketing spend and supplier costs
  • Source and negotiate with venues, suppliers, speakers and partners
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders to refine plans and ensure budgets are aligned with objectives

Event Delivery & Coordination

  • Create detailed event plans and timelines, typically working at least 30 days ahead of each event
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to ensure everything is delivered on time and to a high standard
  • Develop messaging, presentations and event materials for partners, prospects and customers
  • Lead rehearsal run-throughs for live and online events
  • Attend and manage events, acting as a confident front-of-house presence

Event Performance & Reporting

  • Track registrations, engagement and outcomes for each event
  • Maintain campaign assets and reporting within HubSpot
  • Evaluate ROI including leads generated, meetings booked and revenue influenced
  • Conduct post-event reviews with suppliers and partners to capture insights and improve future events

About You

You’re a highly organised events professional who enjoys taking full ownership and ensuring every detail is delivered to an exceptional standard.

You’re equally comfortable negotiating with suppliers, coordinating stakeholders and representing the business at live events.

You’ll likely bring:

  • 5+ years’ experience managing B2B events end-to-end
  • Experience creating business cases, event plans and budgets
  • Confidence running both online and in-person events
  • Strong stakeholder management and supplier negotiation skills
  • Experience using HubSpot and digital tools to manage campaigns and communications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A proactive mindset with strong attention to detail and pace

You’ll thrive in a growing organisation where you can take ownership and see the direct commercial impact of your work.

What’s on Offer

  • Part-time role of around 25 hours per week
  • Hybrid working with typically two days per week in the central Cardiff office
  • c. £60,000 FTE* (c. £40k actual salary for 25 hrs), depending on experience
  • Flexible working environment within a growing, values-led organisation
  • Opportunity to take full ownership of an exciting and varied events programme

The organisation values collaboration, innovation and integrity, and offers a supportive environment where people work together to achieve ambitious goals.
