Our client is seeking a motivated, professional and community-minded Business Support and Event Officer to join our friendly team at an exciting time of change.

The Role
As the Business Support and Event Officer, you will provide a first-class service across all areas of business. Your work will range from handling enquiries, supporting meetings, and maintaining records, to assisting with event planning, project work and wider initiatives.
You will be a key point of contact for external stakeholders, working closely with internal colleagues and others. The role includes attending evening meetings and civic events, for which overtime or time off in lieu will be given.

The Candidate
Our client are seeking an individual who can demonstrate:
• Strong experience in high-level administrative work
• Excellent accuracy and attention to detail
• Confidence working both independently and as part of a small team
• Good communication skills and a professional approach
• Willingness to attend evening meetings and events
Experience of working in a council is desirable, but not essential. Full training will be provided, and upon completing probation, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to study for the Certificate in Local Council Administration (CiLCA) and APM qualification.
The Terms
This new position is being offered with part-time hours with 28 hours per week being works in the Berkhamsted office across Monday to Thursday (ideally 9am to 4.30pm, however there is some flexibility in these times. Some evening and weekend work is expected, this will be paid or compensated with time in lieu. A salary of £35,412 - £39,512 FTE* (pro rata for hours worked is available, depending on the skills and experience of the successful candidate.
