Looking for a high-impact legal role with real flexibility? This is a rare opportunity to step into a commercially focused, collaborative legal team within an innovative financial services business.

The Role

This is a 9-month fixed-term contract covering maternity leave, supporting a small but highly effective legal team. You’ll play a key role in keeping the day-to-day legal function running smoothly, working closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and negotiating a wide range of commercial contracts (including SaaS, partnership, NDAs and service agreements)
  • Supporting employment-related matters, including drafting agreements and updating internal policies
  • Providing practical legal guidance to teams across sales, marketing, partnerships and operations
  • Advising on data protection and regulatory requirements
  • Liaising with external counsel, particularly on financing and banking documentation
  • Supporting with ad hoc legal research, projects and business queries

About You

You’ll be a commercially minded Legal Counsel who enjoys variety and thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

We’re looking for:

  • 3+ years’ PQE with strong legal training
  • In-house experience within financial services (or a closely related sector)
  • Confidence working with senior stakeholders across multiple functions
  • The ability to apply legal thinking to complex, real-world business challenges
  • A genuine interest in finance and/or technology
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • A proactive, team-oriented approach
